assalamualaikum warahmatullah
actually im very dissappointed with the photos i took during previous winter. feeling like a noob,oh yes you are hikhik. if you see my albums (in fb) they are mostly bluewish and no snowfall captured at all. so recently i surfed thru the internet, reading articles, watching videos but there were none specifically talking about winter photography the way i wished for. mostly about camera setting and self attire, which are~common sense for all photographers~

but then i decided to discover them by myself. practically. i went photoshooting with my friends (my model hihi) and tried few skills like playing with angles and light. so here im, to make my own article regarding this topic, just for sharing and for future reference in case of forgot. but it doesnt mean photos that i've taken are great,,but what i can say is,,it's what i wanted them to be and at least it is better than before la. haha.

how to take photo of person blowing a snow
hmm,,for this one make sure you do this right after snowfall because if not the snow may not be able to be blown, but become snowball instead haha,,but still we can take a photo of person throwing snowball right haha *baru terfikir*. and same also, the background must be dark to make the blown snow visible.

ok i think thats all. simple je hee. but there is one thing in my winter photography wishlist,,i want to take a clear photo of snowflake! hehe but in this case i need a macro lens,,but since it is expensive and not really useful, i prefer the alternative method,,by using either extension tube or macro converter. so,, another thing to learn huhu. inshaallah.
so what i can conclude is, if you want to capture the snowfall, blown snow or breath air, take note;
so what i can conclude is, if you want to capture the snowfall, blown snow or breath air, take note;
- the background must be dark, (to make the snow visible)
- choose lowest aperture, (to get blurred background) and
- apply rule of third (the object must be 1/3 of photo - basic for portrait photography)
and yeah,,even i use dslr sony a37 but trust me, if u use even mobile phone but using right techniques, u will get almost same result as dslr's. why? because i've seen some pictures taken by others only by using camera phone,,the results were what had challenged me to take better. seriously! haha :D
and of coz,,to have good photos,,you have to edit also. poyo giler la kalau taknak edit, even pro pun edit la. hahaha.
